Broohaven-Phase 2
We completed phase 1 of the Brookhaven job earlier in the year (see older posts). Work on phase 1 included a stone walkway, plants per my planting plan and mulch. Phase 2 is sodding and the addition of a cypress mulch play pad for the toddler in the family. You can see the red azaleas from phase 1 in the photo below...we laid 5 pallets of Meyer Zoysia yesterday and have just a little left plus trim out to be complete. Letting it get a little rain today and will be back out tomorrow.
Little 5 Points-Stone Edging and Sod Prep
Sod is in but not trimmed out, a photo of the prep that included the removal of a ton of hardwood mulch (6" deep in spots) and tilling...will have photos of the completed job in a couple of days. The stone work was the addition of some Cherokee Ruble to rearrange the patio outline...not as easy as it looks because of the tree roots involved.

Little 5 Points-Trees & Flowers
Didn't accomplish much on this project yesterday, very wet...but got in a decent day today planting a couple of Fringe trees (Top pic-15 gal. plants) in the front and preparing annual beds and planting Impatiens in the back. The bottom 3 photos take you thru the process-till existing soil, add soil mix (I use topsoil mixed with ground pine bark and composted manure), then plant the flowers.

Little 5 Points Project
This project started about a week ago with some tree pruning (see below) to open up the back yard to more sunlight in preparation for the installation of zoysia sod. That is the main focus of the job, along with filling in some areas with plants and moving a few plants around. There will be some stone edging work and annual color as well. We started in the front today by removing the existing Cast Iron plant (Apidistra) and replacing them with Indian Hawthorne (Raphiolepsis "Elanor"). Went to the nursery this afternoon and picked up some Fringe Trees (Chionanthus) that will also go in front beside the weeping cedars. Taking off for the weekend tomorrow-but we'll be back out early next week to continue this project.

Little 5 Points Job
Little 5 Points job got started yesterday with some major tree pruning by Steve Petkas and his crew (Southeastern Tree Company). The big oak is being pruned to remove some dead/damaged wood and lower limbs to open the area to more light-in preparation for the installation of Meyer Zoysia sod and some additional plants. The big Pecan tree over the house was pruned both for aesthetic reasons and to remove some limbs that would ultimately threaten the house.
