Big Canoe-Quarterly Maintenance

Went up to Big Canoe in Pickens Co. on Saturday. I have a quarterly maintenance account there and this was a bit of an extra visit..I didn't quite get finished with some pine strawing last visit, and they are hosting a 4th of July party next weekend..and wanted everything pruned, sprayed, etc. I had company for about and hour and finally got the camera and took a photo (bottom) - one of a group of browsing deer. They didn't seem to care I was around, but they weren't coming very close either;-)

Big Canoe-Owl's Brow...Retaining Walls

Headed back up to Big Canoe today to work on timber retaining walls. Got all the footings dug in both spots. There will be a surround wall around the AC unit under the deck and a wall (started construction today-see pics) along and parallel to the end of the house that will divert water to the rear of the house.

Got started on this project today with some stone work as pictured below- On Monday I will be starting on a couple of timber retaining walls and steps.
